Hytrel (TPC)

Hytrel is a thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPC) with high strength, good abrasion resistance and good resistance to oils and fuels. Pumps with this diaphragm are rated for fluid temperatures up to 100 °C (see the data sheet of each version).

Typical fluids

Oils, fuels, inks, adhesives and abrasive fluids; FDA versions for food.

Typical applications

Paints & inks: printing inks for paper and textiles, UV inks, offset inks, dyes, glue
Adhesives: solvent- and water-based
Oils: petroleum, crude oil, diesel, heating oil, hydraulic and cutting oils, lubricants, greases, edible oils
Abrasives: clay slip, titanium dioxide, sinter materials, lime slurries, cements, scale

Limits

Not suitable for strong acids, hot alkalis and hot water.
