Pumps with a maximum discharge or operating pressure of 8,6 bar.

With air-operated diaphragm pumps the maximum discharge pressure roughly equals the supplied air pressure – a pump supplied with 8.6 bar air delivers at most about 8.6 bar at the discharge. High-pressure pumps with a 2:1 ratio reach up to 16.5 bar. The pump can run against a closed discharge without damage: it simply stalls and restarts when the pressure drops.
