FKM (Viton)

FKM (fluoroelastomer, known as Viton) combines high temperature resistance with very good resistance to oils, fuels, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons and many acids. Pumps with this check valve are rated for fluid temperatures up to 175 °C (see the data sheet of each version).

Fuels, hydrocarbon solvents, acids and hot fluids.

Typical applications

Solvents: aromatic and aliphatic solvents, ketones, aldehydes, esters, chlorinated hydrocarbons, de-icers
Acids: mineral and organic acids
Oils: petroleum, crude oil, diesel, heating oil, hydraulic and cutting oils, lubricants, greases, edible oils

Limits

Not suitable for ketones (e.g. acetone), amines, hot water and steam.
