Pumps for surface technology & electroplating
Pump systems play a decisive role in surface technology and electroplating, whether for pumping chemicals, waste water or sludge or for circulating the baths. Plastic pumps made of PE and PTFE are often used for pumping chemicals.
In most cases, double-diaphragm pumps made of PE are suitable for a wide range of liquids. Only when handling concentrated acids are diaphragm pumps made of PTFE used. In addition, centrifugal pumps made of PVDF are available for such applications.
Air-operated diaphragm pumps
Chemicals are often stored in storage tanks, which requires that the pumps are capable of dry suction. Air-operated double diaphragm pumps meet this requirement. These compact and handy diaphragm pumps offer simple control of the flow rate via the compressed air supply and are also dry-running resistant. They can even work against closed gate valves, which allows them to be used in tapping operation. In addition, these pumps are often used for pH-controlled dosing of acids and alkalis. For wastewater with higher loads, especially solids, double diaphragm pumps are the ideal choice.
Electrical diaphragm pumps
Electric diaphragm pumps offer a viable solution when compressed air is not available or the air network is overloaded. These pumps combine the advantages of air-operated diaphragm pumps with an electric drive. They provide reliable delivery, but be aware that they cannot operate against closed gate valves.
Vertical centrifugal pumps
Plastic centrifugal pumps are used especially for higher flow rates. They have the advantage that, as vertical centrifugal pumps, they can be immersed directly in the baths for efficient circulation. No dynamic seals are necessary with these vertical pumps. This enables reliable handling of larger volumes and facilitates maintenance.
Plastic centrifugal pumps
For transferring storage tanks, plastic centrifugal pumps with mechanical seals are a proven solution. These pumps are capable of efficiently pumping both wastewater and rinse water for wastewater treatment. Plastic centrifugal pumps can be used successfully especially for slightly polluted water. This allows for versatile use in different environments and facilitates the handling of liquids in storage tanks.
Magnetic centrifugal pumps
Magnetic centrifugal pumps are pumps driven by a magnetic drive that has no direct contact with the pumped medium. This makes them ideal for applications where high reliability and no risk of leakage are required. Centrifugal magnetic drive pumps are used in chemical plants, laboratories, the food industry and other industries where precise and safe pumping is required.
Peristaltic pumps
Peristaltic pumps are the preferred choice when high pumping speed is required, as they are capable of creating negative pressure to near vacuum. They prove to be extremely reliable, especially when pumping viscous and viscous slurries, and function effectively as slurry pumps. When using peristaltic pumps for these applications, it is important to keep the speed low to ensure longer hose life. This allows for efficient and reliable operation in various environments and applications.
