EPDM

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber) is highly resistant to water, hot water, alkalis, many acids, alcohols and ketones and stays flexible at low temperatures. Pumps with this valve seat are rated for fluid temperatures up to 120 °C (see the data sheet of each version).

Typical fluids

Alkalis, dilute acids, alcohols, ketones, glycol and hot water.

Typical applications

  • Pickling agents: sodium, potassium and magnesium hydroxides and carbonates, lime slurries
  • Alcohols: methyl, ethyl, isopropyl and higher alcohols
  • Water: DI water, distilled water, raw, salt, brackish, waste and condensate water
  • Rubber & latex: natural and synthetic latex, pigments, fillers

Limits

Not suitable for mineral oils, greases and fuels.
