What limits the temperature

In air-operated diaphragm pumps the elastomers – diaphragm, check valves and seals – usually limit the permissible temperature; with plastic pumps also the housing. For hot fluids FKM, EPDM and PTFE combined with stainless steel or aluminium housings are suitable. Note that viscosity and vapour pressure change with temperature and affect suction performance.
