Air-operated diaphragm pumps are ideal for hazardous areas: they work without an electric motor and without an ignition source. The versions listed here are marked according to the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and approved for use in Ex zones.

What matters

A conductive housing – aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron or conductive polypropylene – and grounding of the pump via the earthing terminal are required. The exact marking (equipment group, category, temperature class) is given in the data sheet of each version.
