Air-operated diaphragm pumps with 1 1/4" port (DN 32). The port size determines the pump size and thus flow rate and solids handling.
Depending on the version, ports are NPT or BSP threads, ANSI/DIN flanges or Tri-Clamp sanitary connections. The suction line should be at least as large as the pump port – for viscous fluids preferably one size larger.
Consider density and viscosity
Density and viscosity of the fluid are decisive for the selection – they have a considerable influence on the effective flow rate. Viscous fluids such as resins, adhesives or chocolate reduce the flow significantly and require larger suction lines and a slower stroke rate. Heavy fluids such as slurries or cements increase the required air pressure. Please state density (kg/dm³) and viscosity (mPa·s) in your enquiry.
Air-operated double diaphragm pumps are used in almost every industry – chemicals, paints and coatings, food and beverage, process engineering, automotive, oil processing, pharma, waste water, mechanical engineering, fire service and marine.
